mushrooms and waterfalls

Photography is an absolute favorite hobby of mine. I tend to take a lot of pictures wherever I go, so this weekend was a treat for me when I went hiking to the Alamere Falls in Point Reyes. It was a perfect day for a hike since the weather was great. There were many beautiful sights!

Of course there were the waterfalls.

We even saw a snake!

And there were mushrooms.. lots of mushrooms..

Today I went to the Jewish Contemporary Museum to view the Sendak exhibit. I loved it! It just reminded me of how much his books were an inspiration to me. As I went through his collection of work, all my childhood memories came flooding back. My favorite characters were Pierre (who doesn't care), Rosie (with the boa), and of course Max from Where the Wild Things Are. All have such lively personalities and mischievous tendencies. It was always a fun read and I was always absorbed in the artwork. All Maurice Sendak fans should definitely check out this exhibition! It's very informative and reminds you how much of a great illustrator and storyteller he is!

Yay I've finally finished my website! It was such a long and difficult journey but in the end it was a great learning experience. I had greater visions for my website but decided to keep it simple for now since it was my first time using HTML and CSS. I had to work within my limits.. but as I learn more I'll definitely try to improve my site. For now, please enjoy!
